INITTMF Errors
INITTMF Errors
These errors are related to the initialization of the TMF environment in DSM/SCM:
Cause. INITENV tried to initialize the TMF environment on a remote system, but
DSM/SCM has not been installed on that system. Therefore, the TMF environment
could not be initialized on it.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. Either install the TMF component on the remote system or specify a
system on which the TMF component has been installed. Then rerun INITENV.
Cause. The user ID you entered is not known to the system.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you reenter the user ID.
Recovery. Enter a valid user ID.
Cause. A file-system error occurred when INITENV tried to access a remote system.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. For a description of the error code displayed in this message, see
Section 7, File-System Errors. Correct the file-system error; then rerun INITENV.
Cause. The volume name you entered has an incorrect format.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you reenter the volume name.
Recovery. Reenter the volume name using the standard NonStop naming convention.
INITTMF ERROR: DSM/SCM has not been installed on \

it. Please install DSM/SCM first, or choose another system to
use for a remote database; then run INITENV again.
