INITSQL Messages
Cause. The volume you select for the system catalog must be mounted on the same
system being used for the database.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you reenter the volume name.
Recovery. Enter a valid volume name.
Cause. INITSQL requires current versions of the internal files SORT and SORTPROG
to be in the SYS
nn
subvolume. However, INITSQL found files named SORT,
SORTPROG, or both on the indicated system-load volume.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. Purge or move the SORT and SORTPROG files from the system-load
volume. Check that the current versions are on the SYS
nn
subvolume; then rerun
INITENV.
Cause. The indicated database or system catalog volume has not been enabled for
audit by the TMF subsystem. INITENV does not create a database on a volume that
has not been enabled.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. Either select an enabled volume or use TMFCOM to enable the volume;
then rerun INITENV.
INITSQL ERROR: The entered volume name is not accessible or
it does not exist or it is not on the same system as was
chosen for the DSM/SCM database. Please retry.
INITSQL ERROR: The files, SORT and/or SORTPROG, were found in
the on $
systemload-vol
.SYSTEM. These files are probably from
an obsolete release, because the current versions of these
files should only be found in the SYSnn subvolume. Please
remove these files, then run INITENV again.
INITSQL ERROR: The requested
type
volume, $

. That volume may not be used for
a remote DSM/SCM database until it has been enabled using
