STARTSCM Messages
Cause. A file-system error occurred while INITENV was trying to open the indicated
internal file.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. For a description of the error code displayed in this message, see
Section 7, File-System Errors. Correct the file-system error; then rerun INITENV.
Cause. INITENV attempted to start the $YPHI PATHMON process required by
DSM/SCM but found that it was already running under the current user ID.
Effect. INITENV stops.
Recovery. Stop the $YPHI process, either by running the STOPSCM program or by
using PATHCOM commands; then rerun INITENV.
STARTSCM Messages
In addition to these errors, STARTSCM can report errors from PATHMON, TMFCOM,
RSCCOM, and SQLCI. For information on those errors, see the appropriate
documentation.
Cause. A file-system error occurred while INITENV was trying to use one of its
required internal files.
Effect. INITENV stops. Any processes started by STARTSCM before the error
occurred do not stop.
Recovery. For a description of the error code displayed in this message, see
Section 7, File-System Errors. Correct the file-system error; then rerun INITENV.
INITPATH ERROR: File system error error-number occurred while
attempting to open file filename . Please correct the problem,
then run INITENV again.
INITPATH ERROR: The DSM/SCM Pathmon process, $YPHI, is
currently running and must be stopped before INITENV can
continue. Please run STOPSCM or use Pathcom to SHUTDOWN the
$YPHI Pathway subsystem then run INITENV again.
STARTSCM ERROR: File system error error-number occurred on
file filename . Please correct the problem, then run STARTSCM
again.
