VERIFYI Messages
Cause. STARTSCM cannot find TCP/IP and its LISTNER process using the program
files on the current SYS
nn
subvolume.
Effect. DSM/SCM issues this message.
Recovery. Start TCP/IP and its LISTNER before using the Planner Interface.
Cause. DSM/SCM could not be started because the TMF subsystem is not running.
Effect. INITENV stops. Any processes started by STARTSCM before the error
occurred are not stopped.
Recovery. Follow normal operational procedures to activate the TMF subsystem on
the system; then rerun INITENV.
VERIFYI Messages
These errors are related to the verification of the initial DSM/SCM environment:
Cause. While verifying the initialization of the DSM/SCM environment, INITENV
discovered that the indicated step in the initialization process did not finish
successfully.
Effect. The DSM/SCM environment has not been initialized properly. Therefore
DSM/SCM cannot run.
Recovery. For more information on the error that occurred during the indicated step,
examine the INITENV log file INITLOG. Correct the error; then rerun INITENV to
complete the initialization.
STARTSCM: TCP/IP and its LISTNER process do not appear to be
running from the current SYSnn subvolume. They must be
running to allow communication between the Planner Interface
and this Host. Start TCP/IP and its LISTNER process before
using the Planner Interface.
STARTSCM ERROR: TMF is not active. DSM/SCM cannot be started.
Please start TMF, or take other appropriate action, then run
STARTSCM again.
VERIFYI ERROR:

has not completed successfully.
Please correct any problems reported by
init-step
, then run
INITENV again.
