Warning and Error Messages
Cause. An internal DSM/SCM error occurred.
Effect. DSM/SCM stops in a nonrestartable state.
Recovery. If you are on the Logon screen, press Shift-F16 to exit DSM/SCM.
On all other screens:
1. If F4-Show messages is not available on the screen, press F16 until you are back
to the main menu.
2. Press F4 to display the EMS messages for this request.
3. Review the messages to determine the details of this problem.
4. Exit DSM/SCM.
If you cannot correct the problem based on information provided in the EMS
messages, contact your service provider, and provide all relevant information:

Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
Cause. DSM/SCM is gathering the information it needs to process your request.
Effect. DSM/SCM locks the keyboard.
Recovery. Wait until DSM/SCM displays the “Task started successfully” or the “Task
completed successfully” message.
Cause. This version of the Target Interface does not match the other DSM/SCM
components.
Effect. You cannot log on to the Target Interface.
Recovery. Press Shift-F16 to exit from DSM/SCM; then call your service provider and
request that the DSM/SCM software be updated to the current product version.
Could not process request. Review EMS messages for further
information.
