File Error and Warning Messages
File Error and Warning Messages
ZPHIRNM issues fatal, nonfatal, and warning messages if problems occur while
renaming individual files. Fatal messages are written to the OUT file and to the log file
if one was specified. Nonfatal and warning messages are written to the log file if one
was specified. Otherwise, they are written to the OUT file.
Cause. The fatal file-system error indicated by
error-number
occurred while
ZPHIRNM was processing the indicated file.

Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates immediately.
Recovery. Recovery action depends on the particular error. For descriptions of file-
system errors, see the
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual
. If possible,
correct the error and rerun ZPHIRNM. If you cannot correct the error, contact your
service provider and provide all relevant information:

Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
Cause. The indicated file, one of ZPHIRNM’s internal work files, had an incorrect
name or code.
Effect. ZPHIRNM stops processing the current target subvolume (TSV) and begins
processing the next TSV.
Recovery. Check the indicated file. The original file name or file code might have
been changed. If possible, correct the file and rerun ZPHIRNM. If you cannot correct
the error, contact your service provider and provide all relevant information:
