Reinitializing DSM/SCM
Task 4: Modify Profile Information for the Logical Target
For more information, refer to Setting the Target Output Defaults on page 17-7.
Task 5: Initialize the Logical Target on the Host System
Initialize the logical target on the host system after running INITENV with the
Initialization option. See Initializing a Logical Target on page 5-18.
Task 6: Receive Software
Receiving software comprises reading software and placing it in the archive. HP highly
recommends that you use the same RVU and related SPRs that were used to build the
current operating system. To receive the software into the archive, see
Receiving
Software Into the Archive on page 7-3.
If you received the same software as your current configuration, synchronize the
new DSM/SCM configuration against the current configuration by performing an
Initialization Build/Apply.
At this point, DSM/SCM does not recognize the SYSnn currently running on your
system. Perform an Initialization Build/Apply to synchronize the databases and to
get a snapshot of the system before the software is actually placed in the TSVs.
If you received new software and it does not matter what was on your current
operating system, perform a full Build/Apply.
