Deleting a New Software Revision
Deleting a New Software Revision
After you delete a new software revision from DSM/SCM, you cannot recover it. To
delete a new software revision:
1. In the Configuration Revisions window, select a configuration revision for which a
new software revision exists (indicated by an asterisk [*] next to the configuration
name).
2. Select File>Delete revision.DSM/SCM displays a dialog box asking you to
continue with or cancel the deletion.
3. Click Continue. DSM/SCM deletes the new software revision.
Deleting Products From a New Software Revision
1. In the New Software Revision window, select one or more products.
2. Select Products>Delete product, or press the Delete key.
Deleting Old Software Revisions
You can delete individual software inputs only if a configuration revision is not using
them. To delete any software input, you must delete all software revisions that link to it.
Delete a software revision only if you are certain that you will never need that specific
software revision again.
You cannot delete a current revision or previous software revision:
A current revision is the last configuration whose state is applied.
A previous revision is the second to last configuration whose state is applied.
To delete an entire software configuration, which removes all of its revisions, see
Deleting a Software Configuration (ZPHIHMI) on page 17-23.
You cannot delete any configuration more recent than the two revisions. For example,
in this Revision History window, you cannot delete soft
ware revisions 17 through 19.
