Checking the Status of a Request
The current activity status detail displays the current stage of the active 
request. 
3. Click Show EMS events to check the messages issued by the request:
To check additional messages, click Refresh.
If necessary, exit the Planner Interface to correct any errors that occurred. 
Otherwise, click Close to return to the Request Status window. 
Request Status Messages
The status messages that might appear in the request activity summary in the Request 
Status window are:
Message Meaning
Awaiting completion of 
activity
The request st
arts when a previous activity is done.
Awaiting receive snapshot Current status is not known until the snapshot is received. 
This message is issued by activities that are initiated on the 
host but
 performed on a target system.
Awaiting specified time to start The request is waiting for the scheduled start time.
Awaiting start The request is waiting for an internal DSM/SCM component 
to b
egin processing.
Cancelled The
 planner canceled the request.
Complete or Completed 
Successfully
The request finished successfully.
Performing cancel processing The planner canceled the request, and the cancel activities 
are in 
progress.
Processing The
 request is running.
To be scheduled The activity is not yet initiated. This message is issued by 
subordinate a

f requests consisting of multiple 
activities.

Use ZPHITI to get Target 
status
The
 Planner Interface cannot get information about target 
activities. To check the status, log on to the ZPHITI.
