Restarting a Request
These messages indicate that an error occurred, user intervention is required, or both:

Restarting a Request
You can restart DSM/SCM requests that the planner cancels or that stop in a 
restartable state. A restartable request is indicated by the message:

To check the status of a request and restart it:
1. Check the status of the request. See 
Checking the Status of a Request on 
page 16-4.
Message Meaning
Awaiting operator 
tape mount
The re
quest resumes when the tape is mounted.
Cancel processing 
stopped in 
restart
able state
You canceled the request, but the cancel activity stopped before it could 
complete restoring DSM/SCM to a consistent state. After taking 
corrective action, you can restart the cancel. You must correct the 
problem before attempting further DSM/SCM activities.
Cancel processing 
stopped in 
nonrest
artable state
You canceled the request, but the cancel activity stopped before it could 
complete restoring DSM/SCM to a consistent state. An internal error 
probably occurred, which might require assistance from HP support. 
You must correct the problem before attempting further DSM/SCM 
activities.
After diagnosing the problem, use the Maintenance Interface to delete 
the request.
Complete with 
warnings
The re
quest completed successfully, but conditions occurred that might 
affect th
e results.
Complete with 
errors
The request completed, but conditions occurred that require attention.
Processing stopped 
in rest
artable st
ate
The request stopped before it completed. Take corrective action and 
then restart the request.
Processing stopped 
in nonre
st
artable 
state
The request stopped before it completed. An internal error probably 
occurred, which might require assistance from HP support. Correcting 
the error might require Maintenance Interface activities.
After diagnosing the problem, cancel the re
quest. If the cancel fails, use 
the Maintenance Interface to delete the request.
Note.  If you must use the Maintenance Interface to correct an error, first close all open 
Planner Interface windo
ws (except the main window).
