Updating DSM/SCM Profile Information
Updating DSM/SCM Profile Information
DSM/SCM profiles contain default information that DSM/SCM uses when processing
requests. These defaults reduce the amount of information the planner must enter
when using DSM/SCM. To update the defaults in the profiles, see:
Configuration Manager Profile on page 17-2
System Profile on page 17-4
Target Profile on page 17-6
Configuration Manager Profile
To process requests, the Planner Interface uses information in the Configuration
Manager profile such as the default tape drive and a default disk drive for exporting
files. The Configuration Manager profile is kept in the host database. You can use
either the Planner Interface or the ZPHIHMI to modify the Configuration Manager
profile.
Updating the Configuration Profile (Planner Interface)
1. From the Configuration Revisions window, select the system you are configuring.
2. Select Maintain>Configuration manager. DSM/SCM displays the Configuration
Manager Profile dialog box.
3. From the Configuration Manager Profile dialog box, update the configuration
profile. See Configuration Profile Information on page 17-3
4. Click OK to exit.
