Bringing an Exported File Back Into the Archive After
the File Has Been Modified
2. As necessary, change the values for:
The destination volume (enter the name or select one from the scrollable list).
The default security information.
Developer files: The developer file types (SPI definitions, EMS template source
files, and Privileged declarations) are preselected. To clear a file type, clear its
check box. You must select at least one type.
All files: The subvolumes to export files for. Scroll through the list and clear any
subvolumes you do not want files exported for. Product files are put in their
DSVs. Developer files are put in their TSVs, which are not in the list.
All files: The files to export. The default is to export all files. To export only
developer files, click any combination of SPI definitions, EMS templates, or
Privileged declarations. The Export subvolumes list is removed.
Product files: The DSVs that will contain the exported files. To omit files
belonging to a particular subvolume from being exported, scroll through the list
of DSVs in the dialog box and clear (Control-click) the subvolume.
Task 4: Schedule the Request
The default is to run immediately. To schedule the request for a later time:
1. Click Scheduling. DSM/SCM displays the Request Scheduling Options dialog box.
2. Schedule a later time; then click OK. DSM/SCM returns you to the Export Files
Request dialog box.
Task 5: Submit the Request
Click OK. DSM/SCM processes the request as scheduled.
Bringing an Exported File Back Into the Archive After the File
Has Been Modified
1. Run CNFGINFO.
2. Create a new A0CINFO file for the exported file.
3. Receive it into the archive as a separate SPR. The changed file does not replace
the original file but can be handled like any other input and built into a new
revision.
Note. If you cancel an Export Files request before it finishes, the files already exported remain
on the disk. If you do not restart the request, you have to delete the files outside of DSM/SCM.
