Creating a Discrepancy Report for a Clone
To write the report to disk, enter the system, volume, and subvolume location
and press F1. For example:
\devsys2.$dev2.data3
DSM/SCM assigns a file name to the disk file. The file name is returned in an
EMS message.
To send the report to a spooler location, enter the spooler location and press
F1. For example:
\devsys2.$s.#prt1
3. To return to the main menu, press F16. To exit the ZPHITI, press Shift-F16.
Creating a Discrepancy Report for a Clone
The standard process for generating a discrepancy report does not work for a clone
system. Instead, use this process:
1. From the Target Interface on the clone system, start an Independent Snapshot.
The Host system receives the snapshot upon completion.
2. Create a new configuration for the clone, containing the software that you expect to
be on the clone. (This software should be the software in the master’s
configuration.)
3. Save the new configuration.
4. Run a discrepancy report.
5. After you finish with the discrepancy report, you might want to delete the
configuration you created for this clone. Otherwise, repeated use of this procedure
will result in multiple extraneous configurations.
