Specifying Product Attributes
DSV Category Required; the category of the product. A product is either a base
version or an update. Choose one of:
Base
Ve
rs
ion
Default; indicates that the software is a base version
containing a complete set of files. Includes a complete
set of product files and therefore replaces all previous
base versions and SPR udpates applied to that
product.
IPM update Indicates that the software is an update to the
p
roduct, cont
aining only changed files. Might not be a
complete set of files and can be added to a base
version along with other SPRs
Base IPM Version Optional, used only if the product is a base version; a 3-character
code that specifies th
e last SPR applied, if any, to the base version;
for example, AAB. For consistency, use the same 3-character
convention used by HP. This software can be copied to (COPY-TO) a
configuration without requiring the product version to be in the
configuration.
IPM code Required if the DSV is an SPR update; 3-character code that
specifies the ID of the SPR; for
example, AAB. For consistency,
customers should use the same 3-character convention used by HP.
Processor support Type of processor on which this set of files for the product runs: TNS,
TNS/R, TNS/E,
or TNS and TNS/R. Default is TNS and TNS/R for
NonStop K-series systems and NonStop S-series systems, and
TNS/E for HP Integrity NonStop systems.
Target default
destination
subvolume
Required if enabled in the dialog box; subvolume on the target
system where this product’s files are placed when software is applied.
Used as a default for any files with no assigned TSV. Up to eight
characters, with the first character a letter. Although no checking is
done, do not use subvolume names beginning with letters reserved
by HP, such as X, Y, or Z.
You must specify ZOSSUTL as the target default destination
subvolume
for every pax file in a product to be managed by
DSM/SCM.
