Task 3: Configure the Target Database

Both host systems and target systems contain a target database. Use ZPHITMI to

check the defaults for the DSM/SCM target database information and update it as

necessary:

1. Configure the target system profile. For more information, see

Updating theTarget

Profile (Planner Interface) on page 17-6.

2. Designate scratch volumes for this target system. For more information, see

Updating Target Volume Usage (ZPHITMI and ZPHIHMI) on page 17-12.

3. Set security for operators and database administrators of this target system. See

Setting Security for Target Database Administrators (ZPHITMI) on page 5-12 and

Setting Security for Operators on page 5-13.
