ALTER TAPEDRIVE Command
ZMCS-MAP-ALTER-POOL
contains fields that correspond to the MEDIACOM ALTER POOL command. For
descriptions of these fields, see ZMCS Maps on page 4-18.
ALTER TAPEDRIVE Command
ZMCS-CMD-ALTER (super-group only)
ALTER TAPEDRIVE determines whether approval must be given for an application to
use a tape drive for bypass label processing mode (BLPCHECK) or no label
processing mode (NLCHECK).
BLPCHECK or NLCHECK remain in effect until another ALTER TAPEDRIVE changes
the setting in the current or subsequent session. To display the current setting of
BLPCHECK or NLCHECK for a tape drive, use INFO TAPEDRIVE.
ALTER TAPEDRIVE is also used to assign NonStop Kernel tape drive names to tape
drives in an ACS. (An ACS can be one Library Storage Module (LSM) or a group of
connected LSMs.) ACS tape drives can be referenced only after they have NonStop
Kernel names. Once the names are assigned, they remain until you change them with
a subsequent ALTER TAPEDRIVE.
