ALTER VOLCAT Command

ZMCS-CMD-ALTER (super-group only)

ALTER VOLCAT changes the owner or security level of a volume catalog.

CREATE FILECAT Command

ZMCS-CMD-CREATE (super-group only)

CREATE FILECAT creates a file catalog for the DSM/TC subsystem and assigns it a

logical name. One file catalog is allowed on a subvolume. However, you can have a file

catalog and a volume catalog on the subvolume if both catalogs have the same logical

name. When file and volume catalogs are placed on different subvolumes, they must

have different logical names.
