DELETE POOL Command
DELETE POOL Command
ZMCS-CMD-DELETE (super-group only)
DELETE POOL removes a pool from a volume catalog. A pool can be deleted only
after all the tapes cataloged in it are removed with DELETE TAPEVOLUME (for tapes
of status BAD, RELEASED, or SCRATCH) or with DELETE TAPEFILE and then
DELETE TAPEVOLUME (for tapes of status ASSIGNED).
Deleting a pool is necessary when renaming the pool or the volume catalog to which it
belongs, when you need to consolidate one or more pools, or when a pool’s tapes are
physically moved to another site.
