DELETE TAPELABEL Command
DELETE TAPELABEL Command
ZMCS-CMD-DELETE (super-group only)
DELETE TAPELABEL changes a standard labeled tape to an unlabeled tape. If the
tape is cataloged in DSM/TC, you must first remove it from the catalog with DELETE
TAPEVOLUME (for tapes with the status BAD, RELEASED, or SCRATCH) or with
DELETE TAPEFILE and then DELETE TAPEVOLUME (for tapes of status
ASSIGNED).
Before the tape label is deleted, DELETE TAPELABEL checks that the tape name
does not exist in the DSM/TC subsystem.
ZMCS-MAP-DELETE-TAPELABEL
contains fields that correspond to the MEDIACOM DELETE TAPELABEL
command. For descriptions of these fields, see ZMCS Maps on page 4-18.
