DROP FILECAT Command
DROP FILECAT Command
ZMCS-CMD-DROP (super-group only)
DROP FILECAT removes a file catalog from the DSM/TC subsystem. A file catalog
cannot be removed until all its file entries are deleted with DELETE TAPEFILE.
DELETE TAPEFILE also changes the status of the volume entries associated with a
deleted file entry to SCRATCH or RELEASED.
Remove a file catalog when changing the configuration of your DSM/TC subsystem,
such as when consolidating two file catalogs or splitting a file catalog into two catalogs.
