INFO TAPEVOLUME Command
INFO TAPEVOLUME Command
ZMCS-CMD-INFO
INFO TAPEVOLUME retrieves these attributes of a tape:
•
The tape name as written in the volume catalog
•
The name of the volume catalog that owns the tape pool
•
The name of the pool in which the tape is cataloged
•
The label type
•
The tape type
•
The assigned density of the tape when it was labeled
•
The tape status
•
The tape format
If the tape status is assigned because one or more of its files is unexpired, this file
catalog information is retrieved for each expired and unexpired file in the tape set:
•
The name of the file catalog in which the file is cataloged
•
The file ID in the entry
•
The generation number of the file
•
The version of the file
•
The status of the file
The information for the tape files is listed in the order the files were written to the tape.
No distinction is made between a file wholly contained on the tape and a section of a
file that resulted from one file spanning more than one tape.
