LABEL TAPEVOLUME Command

ZMCS-CMD-LABEL (super-group only)

LABEL TAPEVOLUME performs these operations on a tape managed by DSM/TC:

•

Creates a standard ANSI tape label, a standard IBM-MVS tape label, or a tape

label used by BACKUP and BACKCOPY

•

Catalogs the tape in an existing volume catalog and pool after a tape label is

created

The tape is cataloged only if it satisfies all the pool’s attributes and the tape name is

not duplicated in the system search space.

contains fields that correspond to the MEDIACOM LABEL TAPEVOLUME
