A tape file entry could not be accessed because of a reported error.
Cause. An attempt to reference a tape file entry failed.
Effect. The tape file is not accessed.
Recovery. Analyze the error.
612 ZMCS-ERR-LABELVIOLATION
An attempt to alter the label format for a pool failed.
Cause. An attempt to execute an ALTER POOL command to alter the label formats
failed. For example, possibly you specified that a pool allowing only ANSI tapes is to
use IBM tapes, but ANSI tapes already exist in the pool.
Effect. The command does not execute.
Recovery. Delete the tapes in conflict with what you need to specify as a tape label
format.
