A catalog is not added because either the logical or the physical name already has a

catalog.

Cause. An attempt to create a catalog failed because either the logical or physical

name already has a catalog.

Effect. The catalog is not added.

Recovery. Choose a different logical name or different subvolume if you want to

create another catalog. Otherwise, make the name consistent with the existing file or

volume catalog (the same logical or physical name).

An attempt to add a tape file to a database that has a more recent version of that tape

file generation failed.

Cause. An attempt to add a tape file into a database that has a more recent version of

that tape file generation failed.

Effect. No addition is made.

Recovery. To add the tape file to the older version, you must first delete the newer

version.
