2 ZRPC-EVT-IO-ERR
ZEMS-TKN-SUBJECT-MARK
is the standard EMS token that always immediately precedes the subject token; in
this case, ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-PROC.
ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-FILE
is the only possible value that can be returned as the subject token. ZCOM-TKN-
SUBJ-FILE indicates the name of the file in which the I/O error occurred.
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
is a header token that contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, indicating that this
event is critical.
In the message text, error corresponds to the value of the Z-ERROR field in ZSPI-
TKN-ERROR within the error list. procerr corresponds to the value in ZSPI-TKN-
PROC-ERR within the error list. filename corresponds to the value in ZCOM-TKN-
SUBJ-FILE. errortext is the error text that corresponds to the value of the
Z-ERROR field in ZSPI-TKN-ERROR within the error list.
Cause. The most likely cause of this event is that the device on which the file or
process exists is inaccessible. (The device is down, or the network connection is lost.)
Effect. If the error occurred on a file or process that is critical to the portmapper
process, the process abends. Otherwise, the subsystem records the event and
proceeds as usual. If the error occurred on $RECEIVE, a serious logic problem is
indicated. For descriptions of file-system errors, see the Operator Messages Manual.
