Connection to the third-party tape management system (TPTM) failed.

ZTAP-TKN-ERRMSGNUMBER

contains the error message number for this tape server error. The number for this

error is 1030.

ZTAP-TKN-FSERR

contains the file-system error number reported in this message.

Cause. The connection to the third-party tape management system (TPTM) failed with

file-system error errornum.

Effect. This message is displayed if the MEDIADEFS LEVEL value is INTEGRATED,

TPTM, or TPTMCOMPATIBLE and the TPTM process is not running. All labeled tape

requests fail with error 751 until the TPTM process is started.

Recovery. Correct the problem and restart the TPTM process. The problem cannot be

immediately corrected if the MEDIADEFS LEVEL value is INTEGRATED and labeled

tape processing must continue. You must set the DSM/TC level to MEDIACAT and

continue tape processing. When the problem is corrected, follow the TPTM instructions

for handling catalog synchronization.
