ZRETENTIONDAYS
corresponds to the RETENTION parameter of the MEDIACOM ALTER
MEDIADEFS command. ZRETENTIONDAYS denotes how long to retain a catalog
entry.
A number in the range 1 to 9999 indicates the number of days past the creation
date of the tape file to keep its catalog entry.
A status of PERMANENT means to keep the entry until it is erased with a DELETE
TAPEFILE. A permanent entry can be subsequently given a retention period with
an ALTER TAPEFILE command.
ZABENDRETENTION
corresponds to the ABENDRETENTION parameter of the MEDIACOM ALTER
MEDIADEFS command. ZABENDRETENTION denotes the number of days past
the creation date to keep a catalog entry for an incomplete tape file.
A number in the range 0 through 9999 is valid for this field.
A value of 0 means that the entry is erased immediately after it is created. The
default is 1, meaning the entry is kept until the next automatic cleanup or until an
EXPIRE TAPEFILE command is used, whichever comes first.
ZMCS-VAL-SUPPLEVEL-UNSPECIFIED
The level of tape support is unspecified.
ZMCS-VAL-SUPPLEVEL-UNLABELED
Only unlabeled tape processing is

TAPECATALOG DEFINEs with the
CATALOG attribute set of OFF are
allowed.
ZMCS-VAL-SUPPLEVEL-COMPATIBLE
Labeled and unlabeled tape processing
is permitted. At this level, DSM/TC is
used at your discretion with a
TAPECATALOG DEFINE with CATALOG
ON.
ZMCS-VAL-SUPPLEVEL-MEDIACAT
Only labeled tapes are permitted.
TAPECATALOG DEFINEs with
CATALOG ON are the only DEFINEs
that work for tape processing at this
level.
ZMCS-VAL-SUPPLEVEL-INTEGRATED
Tape processing by DSM/TC and a third-
party tape manager is permitted. (This
value is supported as of the D30 release
of DSM/TC.)
