Error Numbers 6300 Through 6500
6308
Cause. You attempted to alter default values while there are outstanding tape
requests.
Effect. The command does not execute.
Recovery. Wait until the outstanding tape requests are satisfied and reexecute the
command.
6309
Cause. You attempted to alter the LSM drive address while the LSM drive is in use.
Effect. The command does not execute.
Recovery. Wait until the drive is no longer in use and reexecute the command
6310
Cause. An ALTER TAPEMOUNT request was tried on a continuation volume request,
but no physical copies are available.
Effect. The ALTER TAPEMOUNT request fails.
Recovery. Mount the requested tape, or restart the request from the beginnin
g, using
the alternate logical copy.
6311
Cause. The ALTER TAPEMOUNT request cannot be completed.
Effect. The request is not completed.
Recovery. Analyze the EMS message.
**ERROR-6308** The default values cannot be altered with
outstanding tape requests.
**ERROR-6309** The LSM drive is in use, the drive address
cannot be altered.
**ERROR-6310** Only logical copies of the tape file are
available. The request must be restarted from the first reel
to use a logical copy.
**ERROR-6311** Unable to complete ALTER TAPEMOUNT request.
