7: ZRPC-EVT-CONN-LOST
ZCOM-OBJ-PROC
the portmapper process.
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER
is a header token that contains the event number. Its value is
ZRPC-EVT-CONN-LOST (7)
ZEMS-TKN-SUBJECT-MARK
is the standard EMS token that always immediately precedes the subject token; in
this case, ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-PROC.
ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-PROC
is the only possible value that can be returned as the subject token. ZCOM-TKN-
SUBJ-PROC indicates the name of the process with which the portmapper cannot
communicate.
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
is a header token that contains the value ZSPI-VAL-FALSE, indicating this is not a
critical event.
Conditional Tokens
For descriptions of file-system error lists, see the Guardian Procedure Errors and
Messages Manual.
Event-Message Text
In the text message, procname corresponds to the value in ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-PROC.
Probable Cause
This event occurs when the portmapper process cannot communicate with its backup
or the NonStop TCP/IP process.
Recommended Action
The recommended action depends on the cause of the error:
If the portmapper process could not communicate with its backup process, and the
connection was lost due to a processor failure, reload the failed processor. When
the portmapper process detects that the processor has been reloaded, it
automatically attempts to restart its backup process.
If the portmapper process could not communicate with the NonStop TCP/IP
process, restart or reestablish communication with the TCP/IP process.
