11 Tape Server Process Messages
Tape Server Process EMS Message Text
The messages in this section are the text portions of EMS messages generated by the
tape server process $ZSVR.
error
is a file-system error.
Cause. $ZSVR could not create the MEDIADBM process.
Effect. No DSM/TC cataloging can be done.
Recovery. Correct the error, and $ZSVR automatically creates the MEDIADBM
process when needed.

Cause. When communicating with the MEDIADBM process, $ZSVR received a
WRITEREAD error.
Effect. $ZSVR creates a new MEDIADBM process.
Recovery. None needed. $ZSVR automatically creates a new MEDIADBM process.

error number, see the appropriate section in this manual.
Cause. MEDIADBM was unable to process the $ZSVR request due to the DSM/TC
error reported in the message.
Effect. If $ZSVR is servicing a mount request, the application process making the
request fails with file-system error 594. (A DSM/TC error is returned to $ZSVR in all the
cases. For detailed information, refer to the EMS log.)
Recovery. Correct the error and retry the operation.
