Tape Server Process EMS Message Text
Cause. The requested ACS tape volume is security protected through the StorageTek
server so that this NonStop operating system is denied access to the tape.
Effect. The application requesting the tape receives file-system error 48 on the open
request.
Recovery. Restart the application, specifying a different ACS tape volume.
Cause. The MEDIADBM program in the same subvolume as $ZSVR has an
incompatible version. The request that $ZSVR just sent to MEDIADBM could not be
completed.
Effect. If $ZSVR was attempting to use MEDIADBM for an application request for a
tape, the application receives file-system error 594.
Recovery. Install a compatible version of MEDIADBM.
Cause. An error occurred while the system was attempting to send a message to a
third-party tape management system (TPTM). $ZSVR attempts to abort the operation
associated with this request with file-system error 751.
Effect. An application might be aborted with file-system error 751.
Recovery. Diagnose the file-system error from the message, correct the situation, and
retry the operation.
Cause. $ZSVR sent a message to a third-party tape management system (TPTM) for
a tape operation, but the TPTM did not respond in a timely fashion.
Effect. $ZSVR attempts to abort the operation associated with this message with file-
system error 751.
Recovery. Retry the tape operation.
ERROR 1039 - LOCAL MEDIADBM VERSION IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH
$ZSERVER
ERROR 1040 - TPTM WRITEREAD ERROR:
ERROR 1041 - TPTM REQUEST TIMED OUT
