Tape Server Process EMS Message Text
Cause. An attempt was made to access a tape drive or label a tape while a third-party
tape management system (TPTM) is configured so that the MEDIADEFS support level
is set to INTEGRATED, TPTM, or TPTMCOMPATIBLE, but the TPTM process is not
running. This error occurs if the $ZSVR process was started after the TPTM process.
Effect. The request is aborted with file-system error 751.
Recovery. If a TPTM is to be used on this system, start the TPTM process and retry
the request. Otherwise, alter the support level using the MEDIACOM ALTER
MEDIADEFS command so that the TPTM is no longer required.
Cause. The connection to the third-party tape management system (TPTM) is
finished.
Effect. All labeled tape requests use the TPTM services.
Recovery. This is an informative message only; no corrective action is needed.
Cause. A tape volume is now being used by the specified process.
Effect. None.
Recovery. This is an informative message only; no corrective action is needed.
Cause. The primary $ZSVR process stopped, and the backup $ZSVR process
successfully took over

Effect. The backup $ZSVR process is now the primary $ZSVR process, and it creates
a new backup $ZSVR process.

Cause. When DEVICE is specified in DEFINE, during a tape switch, BACKUP might
reopen the DEFINE internally before the previous dismount operation is completed.
