Error Numbers 1 Through 999
Recovery. Enter the name of this tape in an excluded pool.

Cause. An attempt to add a tape name failed.
Effect. The tape is not added.
Recovery. Analyze the error.
617
Cause. An attempt to automatically allocate a scratch tape failed because no more
scratch tapes are in the pool. They are all being used.
Effect. This request for a scratch tape is queued and executed again in three minutes.
Recovery. Either reject the request with a REJECT TAPEMOUNT command, or
execute the LABEL TAPEVOLUME or ADD TAPEVOLUME commands to add more
tapes to the pool.

Cause. The automatic expiration process already ran.
Effect. The expiration process invoked through the EXPIRE TAPEFILE command
does not run.
Recovery. Wait a day and try it again, or use the EXPIRE TAPEFILE command and
do not specify all of the file catalogs.
**ERROR-616** Unable to add the tape volume name because of
the following error:
**ERROR-617** The pool has no scratch tapes. Use the
ADD/LABEL TAPEVOLUME command to create more.
**ERROR-618** The automatic expiration process has already
run today.
