Error Numbers 1 Through 999
identified as incorrect, the ALTER MEDIADB, LONGNAME command cannot be used
to perform this update.
Effect. The media catalog tables cannot be updated for use with Backup Restore 2
using the ALTER MEDIADB, LONGNAME command.
Recovery. Contact the Global Customer Support Center (GCSC) for upgrade help.

Cause. The absence of an expected single row in CATDEFS table.
Effect. A default row is added to CATDEFS table.
Recovery. No action is required.
639
Cause. Specified TYPE option is not supported by the tapedrive.
Effect. The command does not execute.
Recovery. Execute the INFO TAPEDRIVE command, obtain the device type
information and based on the device subtype, specify an appropriate media type. For
more information on drive types and supported media types, see DSM/Tape Catalog
Operator Interface (MEDIACOM) Manual.

Cause. A G06, append-capable Media Catalog version is installed, but the underlying
tables have not yet been upgraded.
Effect. The requested operation terminates.
Recovery. Execute the ALTER MEDIADB, APPEND directive.

**ERROR-639** Mediatype constraint violation with tapedrive
has been detected.
**WARNING-902** Media Catalog tables need to be upgraded to
G06 version, see the Alter MediaDB, Append directive.
