INFO FILECAT Command
INFO FILECAT Command
INFO FILECAT retrieves this information about a file catalog:
The logical name
The physical name (where the catalog is located on disk)
The owner
The security level
The file catalog version
INFO FILECAT
entered without a file catalog name and an OUT file, sends information for the
session default file catalog to your current default output file (usually your home
terminal.)
\node
\node.file-catalog-name
is the logical name of the file catalog. Wild-card characters are permitted in this
name. The default is the name set by the FILECAT command.
Include \node with the name when the file catalog is not on your current default
node.
If only \node is specified, information is retrieved for all file catalogs of the nodes
in the system search list of \node.
This parameter is required if no value is available from the MEDIADEFS defaults or
previously set as a MEDIACOM session default (see the ENV Command on
page 2-89).
OUT out-file
specifies where the report is displayed or written. You can name a disk file or a
device, such as a printer or terminal. If not given, the information is sent to your
current default output file (usually your home terminal).
