To retrieve information about all the file catalogs on the current default node:
MC> INFO FILECAT *

To retrieve information about a file catalog on another node:
MC> INFO FILECAT \STAR.FILE_CATALOG_STAR
To retrieve information about all file catalogs from the nodes in the system search
list of \SKY, which include \SKY, \STAR, and \SEA:
MC> INFO FILECAT \SKY
INFO MEDIADEFS Command
INFO MEDIADEFS retrieves this information about the DSM/TC environment on one
node:
The node names in the system search list
The name of the system default file catalog
The name of the system default volume catalog
The name of the system default pool
The default retention period of entries in the file catalog
The default abend retention period of entries in the file catalog
The tape support level
The default value for which type of automatic selection process to use for tape
library tape requests
The default value for whether to compress data as it is written to a tape
INFO MEDIADEFS also displays a warning message if the clean-up process has not
run in the last three days (determined by checking the system clock date against the
last run date of the clean-up process).
Note. The information retrieved by INFO MEDIADEFS is set by the ALTER MEDIADEFS
command. Use ENV to see the values set by the FILECAT, POOL, or VOLCAT commands.
