INFO TAPEFILE Command
When tfile is contained on one tape, these items appear once in the report. If
tfile spans more than one tape, these items appear for each section of the file.
ver Version number of tfile.
pcopy Physical copy number of tfile.
lcopy Logical copy number of tfile.
time Date and time that tfile was created.
expire The date in the catalog when tfile expires. If the value for a tape file
expiration is set as PERMANENT (see the ALTER MEDIADEFS command on
page 2-39
and the ALTER TAPEFILE command on page 2-57), the value
returned for expire is 31dec2199. DSM/TC automatically inserts this value.
type Type of application that created tfile. The value of type can be:
FILE Tape file created by BACKUP run in file mode
USER Tape file created by a process other than
BACKUP
VOLUME Tape file created by BACKUP run in volume mode
catalog Whether the disk files associated with tfile were cataloged when they were
copied to tape by BACKUP or BACKCOPY. This item appears only if the value
of type is file or volume. The value of catalog can be:
FALSE The disk files were not cataloged.
TRUE The disk files were cataloged.
recform Record format of tfile. The value of recform can be:
FIXED All records are the same length.
UNDEFINED No format is defined for the records.
reclen Length of each record in bytes. If the value of recform is undefined, the value
for reclen is 0.
blklen Length of each record block in bytes.
lastgen The last absolute generation number assigned to tfile in the file catalog.
comment The text in the MOUNTMSG attribute of the DEFINE for this tape file. This item
does not appear if the MOUNTMSG attribute was not used.
vcat Name of the volume catalog that owns pool.
pool Name of the pool in which tname is cataloged.
setid Name of the first tape that data was written to in the tape set.
sect Number of the section of tfile on the tape (1 for the first or only section, 2 for
the second section, and so on).
