INFO TAPEVOLUME Command
INFO TAPEVOLUME retrieves these attributes of a tape:
The tape’s name as written in the volume catalog
The name of the volume catalog that owns the tape’s pool
The name of the pool in which the tape is cataloged
The label type
The tape type
The assigned density of the tape when it was labeled
The tape’s status
The tape’s file format
If a tape’s status is assigned because one or more of its files is unexpired, this file
catalog information is retrieved for each expired and unexpired file on the tape set:
The name of the file catalog in which the file is cataloged
The file ID in the entry
The generation number of the file
The version of the file
The status of the file
The information for the tape files is listed in the order the files were written to the tape.
No distinction is made between a file wholly contained on the tape and a section of a
file that resulted from one file spanning more than one tape.
