Examples
1. To retrieve information for the default volume catalog of the session:
MC> INFO VOLCAT

2. To retrieve information for a volume catalog on another node:

3. To retrieve information for all file catalogs of the nodes in the system search list of
\MOON, which includes \MOON and \VENUS:
MC> INFO VOLCAT \MOON

LABEL TAPEVOLUME Command

LABEL TAPEVOLUME performs these operations on a tape managed by DSM/TC:
Creates a standard ANSI tape label, a standard IBM-MVS tape label, or a tape
label used by BACKUP and BACKCOPY
Catalogs the tape in an existing volume catalog and pool after a tape label is
created
Provides automatic loading of tapes to be labeled
The LABEL TAPEVOLUME command automatically loads a tape volume in the
specified tape drive if it resides in the tape library. If the UNLOAD ON option is set, the
tape volume is also unloaded automatically. For more information, see Considerations
