REJECT TAPEMOUNT Command
(Super Group Only)
REJECT TAPEMOUNT Command
(Super Group Only)
REJECT TAPEMOUNT cancels a request to use a tape drive or a tape. After REJECT
TAPEMOUNT is finished, file-system error 194 is returned to the application that made
the request.
\node.message-number
is a number assigned by $ZSVR to the message that requests a tape or the use of
a tape drive. This number can be found with a STATUS TAPEMOUNT command.
Include \node when the request is not on your current default node.
Example
This mount message appears for a low priority job:
... $ZSVR : 0017 *MC* MOUNT X00030 ON $TAPE5
Because higher priority jobs must run now, you need to cancel the application asking
for X00030 and run it later. To cancel the mount message.
MC> REJECT TAPEMOUNT 17
In this example, the error message sent back to the application also stops it.
REPOSITION Command
REPOSITION directs DSM/TC to note the current tape position before rewinding the
tape to dump its labels, then to reposition the tape back to the noted position after the
rewind and label dump finish.
ON
DSM/TC puts the tape back to its original position from before the rewind. You
cannot use REPOSITION ON if UNLOAD is ON.
OFF
DSM/TC does not put the tape back to its original position from before the rewind.
The default is OFF.
