STATUS TAPEMOUNT Command
prot Specifies whether to protect tname from being written on. The value of prot
can be:
NO Permit data to be written to the tape. Insert
write-enabled ring for open-reel tapes. For tape
cartridges, position switch to read/write
setting.
YES Do not permit data to be written on the tape. Do
not insert write-enabled ring for open-reel
tapes. For tape cartridges, position switch to
read-only setting.
label Type of tape label or label processing mode. Value of label can be:
ANSI Tape with ANSI standard label
BACKUP Tape with BACKUP label
IBM Tape with IBM-MVS standard label
TMF Tape with TMF label
pool Name of the pool in which tname is cataloged.
vcat Name of the volume catalog that owns pool.
$tape Name of the tape drive.
avr Name of the node where the tape must be mounted.
i/o The tape’s input or output status. The value of i/o can be:
EXTEND Add data to last file on tape.
IN Read data from tape.
OUT Write data to tape.
den The density of the tape. The possible values are 6250, 1600, or blank. A blank
indicates that no value was specified either through MEDIACOM or through a
DEFINE, or that it is a cartridge tape in a tape library.
openex Tape exclusion mode (taken from OPEN flag of opening process). The value of
openex can be:
EXCLUSIVE Exclusive access (for BLP and LP opens)
PROTECTED Protected access
SHARED Shared access (for NL opens only)
comment The text in the MOUNTMSG attribute of the DEFINE for this tape file. This item
does not appear if the MOUNTMSG attribute was not used.
$proc Name of the process opening the tape file.
c,p Processor and process identification number of $proc.
