File Catalog Names
A file catalog name, referred to as file-catalog-name in command syntax, is the
logical name of the NonStop SQL/MP database in which catalog entries for tape and
disk files are stored. It is 1 through 21 characters long. The first character must be
alphabetic.
The name is any combination of these characters:
Letters a through z, in uppercase and lowercase
Numbers 0 through 9
Underscore character (_)

Node Names
The node name, referred to in command syntax as \node, \command-node or
\remote-node, is the name of a NonStop Kernel system. A node name is used to
qualify an element, such as a tape drive or file catalog, when that element resides on a
system in a network other than your current default node.
A node name begins with the \ character, followed by 1 through 7 alphanumeric
characters. The first character after \ must be alphabetic.

Output File Names
An output file, referred to in command syntax as out-file, is the name of a disk file,
device (printer or terminal), or process to which the commands send output.
A process name begins with a $ character, followed by 1 through 5 alphanumeric
characters. The first character after $ must be alphabetic. For more information on disk
