SECURITY-MEDIA-ADMIN Only)
TPTM
At this level, the TPTM is used, and DSM/TC is not consulted. Labeled and
unlabeled tape processing is permitted, but only CLASS TAPECATALOG
DEFINEs are allowed.
TPTMCOMPATIBLE
At this level, the TPTM is used, and DSM/TC is not consulted. Labeled and
unlabeled tape processing is permitted. Both CLASS TAPE and
TAPECATALOG DEFINEs are allowed.
RESET LEVEL
changes the current tape support level to NOCATALOG.
POOL pool-name
is the logical name of a pool to use when no name is given in a TAPECATALOG
DEFINE. It also becomes the session default name for a pool when not explicitly
set with a POOL command.
RESET EXPIRATION
verifies that the system clock is correct when an error condition is detected by the
clean-up process when it is automatically run or is manually run by EXPIRE
TAPEFILE. For more information, see Considerations on page 2-44.
RETENTION { number-of-days | PERMANENT }
is the number of days past the creation date of the tape file to keep its catalog
entry. This value is used when a retention value is not given in a TAPECATALOG
DEFINE:
number-of-days
is a number in the range 1 through 9999.
PERMANENT
keeps the entry until it is erased with DELETE TAPEFILE. A permanent entry
can subsequently be given a retention period with ALTER TAPEFILE, in which
case it remains in the catalog until the end of the retention period.
RESET RETENTION
changes the current RETENTION value to 30.
