EMCOM Messages
This section describes the error, status, and warning messages that can be issued by
EMCOM. Error and warning messages are not necessarily fatal to the operation of
EMCOM. Status messages represent conditions and events that have occurred. For
additional information regarding file-system error messages, refer to the NonStop Kernel
Operating System Programming Manual.
EMCOM Messages
ERROR - *1001* INVALID NUMBER
A numeric field contained an invalid character or could not be represented in 15 bits.
ERROR - *1002* ITEM TOO LONG
A command or keyword contains more than 8 characters.
ERROR - *1003* ')' EXPECTED
Missing right parenthesis.
ERROR - *1004* INVALID SYNTAX
The sequence of input characters did not conform to the command syntax.
ERROR - *1005* 'OUT' EXPECTED
The keyword OUT was expected and not found.
ERROR - *1006* NOT ALLOWED
Certain commands are not allowed when input is processed from a command file or
OBEY file.
ERROR - *1007* MISSING OR INVALID CPU #
A CPU number was expected and not found.
ERROR - *1008* TOO MANY PARAMETERS
Too many parameters were specified for this command.
ERROR - *1009* INVALID SYSTEM NAME
The format of the system name is invalid or the system is not defined at this node.
ERROR - *1010* INVALID PROCESS ID
The format of the process ID is invalid.
ERROR - *1011* MISSING PROCESS ID
A process ID was expected and not found.
