EM3270 Emulator Function-Key Mapping
This subsection describes the function-key mapping when the emulator is running and
describes the procedures for replacing the standard function-key mapping set with a
customized set. Table E-2 lists the default mapping performed by the emulator.
Alternate Function-Key Mapping
A user-replaceable procedure called user^function^key^mapping is available to allow
you to specify different function-key mapping assignments from those normally
provided by the emulator.
Declarations for the standard function-key mapping procedure for the terminal are
shown in Figure E-5. This procedure is called whether the terminal is logically
connected to the IBM host application or to Pathway. If the terminal is connected to
Pathway, the only return values of key^index that are meaningful are -6, -7, -8, and -11,
indicating a desire to initiate a screen print operation, switch context, terminate the
connection to the EM3270 emulator, or initiate the EM3270 emulator screen recovery,
respectively.
