Data Communications Standard Definitions
This list does not list EMS error numbers or definitions used only in error lists. For a
description of all EMS standard definitions, refer to the Event Management Service
(EMS) Manual.
All EMS standard definitions are fully described in the Event Management Service
(EMS) Manual. Information about these definitions that is specific to EM3270 is given
below.

ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT always contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE,
indicating that all EM3270 event messages are displayed on the operator console
controlled by the compatibility distributor ($Z0).
•
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER contains the event number of an EM3270 event
message. These event numbers and their associated event messages are described in
Appendix J, “Event Management Service.”
Data Communications Standard Definitions
Definitions whose names begin with ZCOM- or ZCMK- are data communications
standard definitions. These definitions are available to all data communications
subsystems, such as EM3270, and are found in the ZSPIDEF.ZCOMDDL definition file
and in files for other languages. For a description of all data communications standard
definitions and error numbers, refer to the Communication Management Programming
Manual.
