Event Management Service
event is not considered critical. EM3270 designates an event as critical in the following
cases:
There was a potential or actual loss of data.
There has been a loss of a major subsystem function.
There has been a loss of fault-tolerance capability.
An unrecoverable internal error occurs.
Error Lists
Some of the events report NonStop Kernel operating system or file-system errors. The
error is included in an error list that conforms to the specifications defined in the System
Procedure Errors and Messages Manual.
Buffer Size
Processes that retrieve EM3270 events should use a buffer of at least 512 bytes.
General Tokens and Values
This section describes in general all of the tokens that comprise EM3270 event
messages.
Standard SPI Tokens
This section describes the SPI (Subsystem Programmatic Interface) tokens that may be
included in event messages generated by EM3270.
ZSPI-TKN-ERRLIST
defines an error list included in an event buffer.
ZSPI-TKN-ERROR
identifies an error and its owner.
ZSPI-TKN-PROC-ERR
identifies the procedure that returned an error.
ZSPI-TKN-SERVER-BANNER
contains the server-banner string.
ZSPI-TKN-SSID
always has the value ZEM3-VAL-SSID.
