Operational Overview
Operational Overview
You can start and control the EM3270 emulator in either of two ways:
•
Central operator control: A central operator configures and starts the EM3270
emulator. The operator then initializes and starts the Tandem application, typically
Pathway. An IBM operator initializes and starts the IBM application. When a user
logs on at a terminal, the screen displays information under control of the
application. The user can switch between the Tandem application and an IBM
application using a terminal function key.
