Tandem Application Session
When a switch is made to the Tandem application in a dual-application session, only the
ROLL UP, NEXT PAGE, shifted NEXT PAGE, and shifted PREV PAGE key codes are
intercepted by the emulator to generate the PRINT, SWITCH, STOP, and RCOVR
commands, respectively. All other function keys are passed through to the application
without modification by the emulator program.
Alternate Function-Key Mapping
A user-replaceable procedure called user^function^key^mapping is provided to allow
you to specify different function key assignments or to disable selected functions during
IBM emulation (see Appendix E for details). This capability is supported only for
Tandem terminals. See the description of the ALTER PROCESS command in Section 4
for an alternate method of changing the function-key mapping.
IBM 3270 and Fujitsu 66xx Function-Key Mapping
Single- and dual-application and printer sessions are supported for IBM 3270 and
Fujitsu 66xx terminals. Pathway sessions requiring Tandem 6530 to IBM 3270
conversion are not supported. Pathway must be compiled to output a data stream that is
compatible with the terminal device being used.
All function keys are passed directly to the host or Pathway application with the
exception of the PA1 key. The PA1 key is designated as an ESCAPE key. Use it in
combination with PF key 1 through 6 to perform the EM3270 emulator-specific
functions, as listed in Table 2-2. These functions have no impact on the application
programs and are not seen by them.
To pass a PA1 key through to the application, press the PA1 key twice.
The ATTENTION key is not supported at this time.
