EM3270 Emulator Command Set
RESETMDTS { ON | OFF }
controls handling of the receiver in transmit-mode conditions for SNA CRT
sessions. Some host applications require that MDT tags for all unprotected fields
remain on even after completion of a bracket. When RESETMDTS is set to OFF,
the EM3270 emulator does not reset the MDT tags. If the host application attempts
to begin a bracket within 10 seconds of ending the previous bracket, the EM3270
emulator accepts the RU (request or response unit) and does not read the modified
fields.
When the EM3270 emulator receives an RU with BBI (begin bracket indicator) set
from the host, and if RESETMDTS is set to ON, the EM3270 emulator reads the
terminal screen to determine whether the user has keyed any data. If so, the
EM3270 emulator returns sense code x'081B' to the host.
When the EM3270 emulator receives an RU with EBI (end bracket indicator) set
from the host, the EM3270 emulator must manually reset the MDT tags for all
unprotected fields. RESETMDTS defaults to ON.

SECUREDATA { ON | OFF }
controls access to the SNALOGON DATA fields. In some cases, the SNALOGON
DATA fields carry password information. When SECUREDATA is set ON, these
fields are not shown by the EMCOM INFO command. SECUREDATA defaults to
OFF.

SNALOGON[n] { APPLID text | DATA text | LOGMODE text }
enables you to specify logon parameters separately for each of the six IBM hosts.
These parameters are sent to an IBM SNA host in an INIT-SELF request when the
device is started. (This specification has meaning only for an SNA host connection.)
If you specify LOGMODE or DATA, you must specify a value for APPLID; the
INIT-SELF request is not sent if APPLID has not been supplied. You can modify
these parameters for configured devices using the ALTER DEVICE command. The
value of n indicates the number of the host for which you are specifying parameters.
APPLID text
specifies a name, one to eight characters in length, enclosed in quotation marks
that identifies the SNA host application for the session. You must specify a
value for text if you specify LOGMODE text or DATA text.
DATA text
a name, one to fifty characters in length, enclosed in quotation marks which
identifies a user data field.
